Maths

We spent today learning about direction (clockwise and anticlockwise) and turns (1/4 turn is also known as a 90 degree turn).
We then put our new maths language into practice and had to 'lead' a friend (who had their eyes closed) by using the words to direct them to the big X on the ground.

Running Kauri Assembly

We started off with two people sharing their Mihi's

We presented our wearable arts that we made with Matua Andre all about our environment and keeping it clean (free from rubbish).

Then two people shared their stories that they wrote to inspire their wearable art.

Thanks to our presenters and our sound people...great team work.

Team skills

We had an extra session with Erin this term to help us learn how to work together...

It was hard sometimes to work out who to listen to.  It was also hard to not take offence when others suggested different ways to try and find a solution.  Lots of learning happening in this session :)

Inquiry

Many groups researched and focused on how to make our lunchtimes better.  These are two of the very successful groups that are still running from last term into this term.
