Being great buddies

Here we are helping Room 5 with all sorts of things.  We try to help them with their reading and sometimes we get to have a bit of an explore with the activities in Room 5 also.

Being a good buddy means setting a good example, being respectful, helpful, patient, creative (for keeping their attention) and much more.

Sea Turtles

We have been learning to write explanations during writing time in Room 9.
Last week we learnt about the life of a sea turtle, and this week it is about the importance of bees.

 We had a fun down on Putikitiki working together to do a range of activities!

Cross Country

Last week was our Year 4, 5 and 6 cross country.  The children showed great perserverance, resilliance and determination.  The atmosphere was positive and it was lovely to hear everyone encouraging others.

To make it even more of a challenge the weather put on a great performance of rain, rain and more rain.  

Macaroni'n'cheese

There was lots of team work involved in making this meal.

It turned out great in the end, well done boys!

Waffle group 2

Take two for the delicious waffles...these ones weren't penguins but they were just as yummy.

They even made one for Mrs D :)

Purple Soup

These lovely young ladies made a yummy lentil soup with purple carrots.  They had lots of chopping to do and it had to cook in the crockpot over most of the day.

OH MY IT SMELLED GOOD!!!

It looked weird but tasted amazing! Well done girls, healthy and yummy!

More of WE CAN MAKE IT...waffle group one!

Mmmmmm delicious penguin waffles!  We had to make measure out all the ingredients, take turns, mix it together, cook them in the waffle maker, cover them in maple syrup and then EAT THEM!!!
